Slack Wax H-12 is a translucent crystalline material in the solid state and a yellow, clear liquid when molten. It is derived from petroleum via a carefully controlled refining process and is primary comprised of a mixture of straight chain normal paraffin and branched, iso-paraffin hydrocarbons.
